it was a banner year for pollen last time i visited as well. the detritus from the chestnut trees alone was about ankle deep in places. a word to the wise: french otc allergy medication will knock you on your butt; i lost a day of paris that way. when i went to the pharmacie and asked for something milder, they shrugged and said break it in half, take it with food.
