there was a sign forbidding photographs. anne encouraged me to ask permission. she's so smart, that anne. what i glean from this sign is: when we take your tear gas away from you, we will put it in this box. once it is in this box, we consider it to be abandoned, and we will destroy it. it's a fine point, but one probably worth making.
